In 2005 we finished our collegiate sporting careers, playing soccer at the University of Minnesota and baseball at Minnesota State. Sports had a profound impact on our lives and influenced everything we did. When we decided to teach in Tanzania after college, we could have never foreseen how God would use our love of sports to change lives.
In 2006 our friend invited us to his home to meet the children he was tutoring after school. I asked if I could run a soccer clinic, which he thought would be a great idea. So each Saturday we would show up with soccer balls and games planned. After about three weeks, we had over 100 children wanting to play in much too small of a space. A small soccer field was purchased and things have continued to grow. Hosting a local soccer tournament, partnering with other sport loving people to support their organizations, watching the developing of women's soccer in Tanzania.
Since that first day we have been able to bring over 100 people on 15 trips to be a part of the amazing things happening in Madala Village. We are so grateful for the growing team of compassionate people who long to serve and grow with us in this mission. We invite you, too, to be a part of this exciting adventure.
Join us in giving back through the sports we love!

Good morning, detectives! Collecting donations for the Policeman's Ball? We don't have balls. I honestly have no response for that. Need I remind you, Mr. Spencer, what happens when you interfere with a police investigation? Uhhh... The case gets solved?
Remember, Dad, you treat a woman like a person, then a princess, then a goddess, then a person again.

No pepperoni? Really? Plus the blatant disregard and utter criminal lack of ham and pineapple. What kind of a good faith negotiation is this? I mean, this is a hostage negotiation! Well, I don't care if you're not happy with the ingredients. Put the pizzas down and walk away!
Told you so. Touché. You can't touché yourself. Sure I can. Your bad. It's not my bad. You can't "my bad" for someone else.
